Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 2, 2026
Career Atlas is built for curious kids of all abilities. We want everyone to be able to explore careers, so we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as a target for the site.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML so screen readers can understand page structure.
- Support keyboard navigation for links, buttons, and controls.
- Aim for readable color contrast between text and backgrounds.
- Provide a responsive layout that works on phones, tablets, and desktops.
- Respect the "reduce motion" setting for people sensitive to animation.
- Provide text alternatives for meaningful images.
Known limitations
Some parts of Career Atlas are highly visual, such as the interactive possibilities map. We are working to make these experiences easier to use with assistive technology. If a feature is hard to use, the same career information is also available in the searchable career library.
Feedback
Accessibility is ongoing work, and we welcome your feedback. If you run into a barrier or have a suggestion, email us at hello@careeratlasmap.com and we will do our best to help and to improve.
